His latest decluttering mission...

Oprah’s organization sensation, best-selling author, and previous Kathleen Show guest Peter Walsh, just released his newest book: Enough Already! Clearing Mental Clutter to Become the Best You.
This time, he’s taking on the clutter in our heads—all that stuff that stresses us out and keeps us from focusing on the important things in life. I can think of a few things (or twenty) that keep me up at night. His latest book is meant to help us examine those distractions, set priorities and find balance in our lives again. Thank you, Peter.
In fact, the thing I love most about Peter and his work is that he often emphasizes that being organized is really not about the stuff...but more about creating an environment that allows us to breathe and think and find peace. I think we all could use a little piece of that.
If you missed my interview with Peter where he not only offers his best advice, but also candid glimpses into his own life, you can listen HERE.
And if you have a decluttering success story, share your breakthrough moment below and we might read it on the air.

Entrepreneurs, this one's for you.

Ever wonder how little ideas turn into big ideas? I recently talked to the founder of Craigslist.org, Craig Newmark, for some insight. You'll be surprised to hear how Craigslist grew to what it is today. (Can you say 13 billion page views per month!)
He's got a common-sense, down-to-earth approach to business that works.
Find out if his approach might be able to help you launch your next big idea...the interview is now available online.

Until a few weeks ago, I didn't have a clue either...

You may have noticed the pink box to the right of my blog that provides a live feed of “what I’m doing” and wondered what that was all about. I’m now one of the estimated 4-5 million people who are using Twitter, a micro-blogging site that allows you to send mini-messages (only 140 characters) to your followers.
But I’ll admit that I’m also one of the 4-5 million people who are still trying to figure out how to best use this service without wasting my time and other people’s time. So to help us all out I’m working on an upcoming show about this social networking craze (Is it me, or is the entire planet talking about Twitter right now?). I’ll be chatting with a top social media expert about how to use Twitter for yourself and/or business. So send me any questions you have and I’ll try to get you some answers on the air.
Until then… sign up to see for yourself what everybody is buzzing about. And follow me at http://twitter.com/kslatts to get the latest scoop on what I’m working on, who I’m interviewing and what I’m blogging about.
Happy tweeting.

Here's what I'm using...

By now most of us have heard that we are not getting nearly enough Omega-3's in our diet, a critical component of regulating inflammation (which is at the root of just about everything that ails us--pain, cancer, heart disease, and wrinkles).
A great source of omega-3 fatty acids if fish oil. But with virtually no oversight of the supplement market, how do we know that the fish oil supplements we are buying contain the right amount of active ingredient? And how do we know they are pure--minus mercury and other toxins? We really don't.
I made a decision to go with Dr. Barry Sears brand called EicoRX. Dr. Sears is a researcher, internationally renowned authority on the hormonal effects of food, best-selling author, and recent show guest. He has a fantastic reputation and in a market crowded with uncertainty, I get a bit of peace of mind knowing that his name is on the product. (Spoiler Alert: I have no financial relationship with this company.)
And don't forget! You can always get some of your fish oil the old fashioned way--by eating fish.

A little help, please.
Is there anyone out there who switched from a BlackBerry to an iPhone? Are you glad you did or regretting the switch?
I’m so torn. I have a BlackBerry and love it but I can’t help but covet the screen size and browsing capabilities of the iPhone. But I’m also feeling this odd sense of loyalty to BlackBerry for setting me free from my laptop.
Thoughts??
(And just for the record, I’m not an addict. I own the Berry, it does not own me. Amen.)

I'm a filmmaker, writer, and talk radio host. After a decade of schlepping drugs for big pharma, I finally got the ovaries to walk away from my career as a pill pusher and share what I knew on the big screen. I wrote and directed the feature film Side Effects (starring Katherine Heigl) as well as...(read full bio)
